Project Shrishtikarta

More than 70 lakh Indians are employed in the art industry, and yet remains the lingering question, why is art still not given the importance it deserves? Art isn’t just painting it’s more than that, pottery, woodwork, weaving, graphic design etc. all come under art. Most of the people involved in art come from lower backgrounds, it is time that we imagine the possibilities presented by design to Indians, and help strengthen our work force and emerge as global leaders. We must teach and encourage design in all these people since it will not only increase the nation’s economy but also help improve the lives of all these artisans. With proper ideas on resource gathering, product design, content creation etc., one of India’s top workforce can change the fate of the country. These items sell upto 13000 Cr. but the artisans behind it are still economically backward, so we must find a solution to help educate and strengthen them.

Virtual Awareness Workshop

BeexClimate- I worked with Kshamata NGO, where we taught around 10-12 children ranging from ages 12-18 about the connection of bees with climate, and engaged them in interesting conversations, played games and helped them understand the importance of preserving the climate!

Virtual Awareness Workshop

Design Innovation- I worked with AfterTaste, an NGO supporting women in finding livelihoods in the art industry! I taught around 8-10 women who were a lot older than myself, so while working I learnt a lot of things myself! I helped them understand how to use google and pinterest, which will further help them in researching for their future designs!

Design Workshop

My community project was at Shakti Foundation, Ghazipur. I held an educational session for 30 underpriviledged children from the ages of 10-14 where I taught them about various design resources! These kids were amazing to teach and we played a lot of games together and held team building activities which hand-in-hand taught them about design! This helped me fulfill my dream of educating children about design from a young age so that they don’t ever feel the lack of educational resources.
